The Reverend Stephanie A. Slocumb

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  In those days when you pray, I will listen.” Jeremiah 29:11-12 NLT
The Reverend Stephanie Slocumb grew up in Greater Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church where she received her training in working in the church. She has worked on many levels Local, District and Conference as Youth Director, Area Chairperson WMS, 2nd Vice President Conference WMS, District Christian Education Director, currently the Christian Education Director for the Macon Georgia Conference an active member of the Women in Ministry (WIM) and serves on the Connectional Level By-Laws Committee. Most recently she joined the Evangelical Ministerial Alliance Organization.
She is a proud graduate of The Fort Valley State University with a BA in Liberal Studies and continues her studies at Payne Theological Seminary where she is scheduled to graduate with her MDiv. in 2019. She is an Ordained Deacon and presently serves as pastor of Saint James AME Church in Cochran, Georgia. She retired from the Bibb County Schools in 2014 after 30 years of service.
The mother of two adult sons, The Reverend Andre’ Hunt and Kentrel (Jasmyne), grandmother of Andre’ Jr. (AJ) and Kensley Parker Hunt.
